Box Break

What? You thought I was talking about a box of baseball cards? You're not thinking literally enough.

After a little excavation, I found this. OK, you were partially right. It is baseball cards, but not a box.

TWO boxes!

Here are the cards on the bottom of the 1990 Topps box.

More to come...

Basketball Jones

Photobucket ...David Jones, that is.

I think I'm getting better at these. The key is finding cards where I don't have to cut-and-paste names together. I knew I wanted to have ol' Ziggy as a member of the Trailblazers (for obvious reasons), and I lucked out when I found a Sam Bowie card with him on that team. Every aspect of this card works together so well: the design, the typography, the picture... It's almost like it left the printing press like this.

Wishful Thinking

I wish this was a real card. It's sad that Topps didn't issue any cards of Jim after 1968, and his '68 card had the same picture that was on his '67 card. Heck, I wish there was a 1970 card of Jim. It would fit perfectly with the Pilots team set I'm working on.
