1988: The Year Cards Started to Change

I know I skimmed over or forgot some important points in this video. If I forgot something, go ahead and post it in the comments.

Here's the post Dinged Corners did. The normal timeline will be back on the next video (that is, if I don't get busted for copyright infringement).

2007 Heritage Video Pack Rip

I figured I'd take the "Repack Experiment" title off these videos, since I know everything's working OK with the videos (and they're being surprisingly well received). This video shows off my cards from the 70s, as well as another pack rip.

There were a surprising number of Pilots and ex-Pilots in the 70s cards I picked to show off. I coulda done all Cito Gaston cards from '73 to '77 (except for '75). I didn't realize I had so many cards of him as a player.

WV Cards Videos Present: Repack Experiment (part 4)

I think I'm geting better at these videos. I know y'all probably miss seeing me show off my mad guitar skillz, though. I'll play some on the next video.

If you want to help my friend Kevin with his 1965 Topps set, go here.

WV Cards Videos Present: Repack Experiment (part 3)

For those of you that were wondering, yes, most of my shirts have Jimi Hendrix on them. All of my other ones have the Beatles on them (except for one shirt with Miles Davis on it).

WV Cards Videos Present: Repack Experiment (part 2)

Since everyone that saw my last pack break video (all three of you!) liked it so much, I thought I'd do another one. Here are things to remember when you watch my videos (at least, until I get used to doing this):

1.) I'm really shy, and I get nervous when it comes to talking to a bunch of people about a specific topic. That's why I started playing guitar in my videos. It gave me something to do besides a bunch of blah-blah-blah. I still get nervous, though, and sometimes my mind goes blank. Oh well.

2.) When I play guitar, I have to look at the neck. I figure that's OK, though. I mean, Robert Fripp can't play standing up, ad Frank Zappa couldn't sing and play at the same time.

Anyway, on to the video!

Flea Market Finds

As some of you know, I just got my driver's license this past Wednesday. To celebrate, I went on a road trip to visit my cousins in Caldwell, Ohio. On the way home Saturday, I decided to stop at the Rink's flea market in nearby Marietta. There were a couple booths/stalls/whatchamacallits that sold baseball cards, and this is what I bought.

A quartet of 1977 Topps I found in the 50 cent box in one guy's booth. All of these fit the groups of players I like to collect.

A 1966 Topps Felipe Alou in the 50 cent box. It looks like someone got hungry and nibbled on the corner.

A 1974 Topps Cito Gaston from his stint with the immortal Washington National League team. This was in the same guy's dollar box.

A 1961 Post Billy Martin. I got this for tree fiddy at another guy's booth. Nice, huh?
